Garden centers and plant nurseries sell annuals, perennials, shrubs, trees, vegetables and houseplants, along with soil, mulch, fertilizer, pots and tools. Independent nurseries often grow part of their own stock and carry varieties that do well in the local climate, while big-box garden departments compete on price for common plants. Wholesale nurseries and growers sell to landscapers and sometimes to the public at volume prices; tree nurseries sell balled-and-burlapped and container trees and can deliver and plant large specimens. Specialty growers focus on bonsai, cactus and succulents, orchids or native plants, and hydroponics stores sell lights, nutrients and systems for growing indoors.

Rockville is in Virginia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Rockville follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. Jessie was very knowledgeable about the trees and how to plant. I bought several new plants for a new construction home. Two Large trees and many small shrubs. They are about three years old now and doing absolutely wonderful. I will definitely use Jessie and Field Station Farms if I need more trees and shrubs to plant.

I have purchased multiple plants and trees from them over the last year. They have all survived being trans planted and look healthy and great! Their knowledge and pricing is outstanding. Highly recommend them!

Hi. We bought 90 of the Green Giants in February this year. It is now June & EVERY tree is flourishing! All we do is water them. Could not be happier!

I worked directly with Jesse. I was able to meet up with him at Field Station farms to get an idea of what trees I was looking for. We walked and drove around looking at different options. He was very available to discuss what I wanted and prompt at adding trees when I decided I wanted more. Very fair/honest encounters and pricing. If I need any other plants (particularly good sized ones), he'll be my first call!
